More than 75 times per year, Chilliwack Search and Rescue is called on to perform difficult and/or technical rescues within a 1100 square kilometre area around the city of Chilliwack.
Chilliwack Search and Rescue is a strictly volunteer, public service organization that relies on community support to function. We receive tremendous support from the City of Chilliwack, the Fraser Valley Regional District and some operating expenses are covered by Emergency Management BC (EMBC).
Operating a Search and Rescue service is an expensive business. We are responsible for purchasing and replacing our own equipment and providing a large portion of our training costs.
We appreciate any donation made, no matter how large or small. You can be confident that if you donate to Chilliwack Search and Rescue, your donation will be put to good use keeping the team ready to respond to a variety of different calls.
